Goose Creek is Berkeley County's big suburb. Most of its housing went up from the 1970s onward in planned subdivisions like Boulder Bluff and Crowfield Plantation, and Carnes Crossroads and other new developments are still building out to the north. It's home to a lot of military families connected to Joint Base Charleston and the Naval Weapons Station, so houses change hands and go to rent often.
